Job opportunity: BCSS is looking for a Research Manager

BCSS is looking for an experienced person in marine sciences to join our Ocean Observatory in the Bazaruto Archipelago to permanently manage and execute a variety of projects under the research station themes, as well as lead the scientific training programs. You will join a young but active research team with a lot of hands-on, and sea-going experience running the Observatory and the data management units.

The position combines research work in various marine science disciplines that requires team-work, multi-tasking abilities, problems forecasting & solving, scientific writing, as well as a solid mindset to work in a remote environment. Please note that for this position fluent English proficiency is required.

BCSS offers professional training beyond the person capabilities, a generous salary to match experience, as well as a convenient leave schedule to be coordinated with the Chief Scientist to always maintain an experienced scientist onsite at all times.

The Bazaruto Archipelago National Park (BANP) is home to some of the richest yet least explored subtropical ecosystems.
